Scalability

VnetStor is designed to scale horizontally by distributing data across a cluster of storage nodes. It can handle petabytes or even exabytes of data by adding more nodes to the cluster, allowing organizations to easily expand their storage infrastructure as their needs grow

Fault Tolerance:

VnetStor eensures data reliability and availability through data replication and erasure coding. It replicates data across multiple storage nodes, so if one or more nodes fail, the data remains accessible.

Unified Storage

VnetStor provides a unified storage system that can handle object, block, and file storage. It supports interfaces such as Amazon S3 and OpenStack Swift for object storage, RADOS Block Device (RBD) for block storage, and CephFS for distributed file storage.

Auto-tiering:

VnetStor's auto-tiering feature enables efficient data placement by automatically moving frequently accessed data to faster storage tiers, such as solid-state drives (SSDs), while less accessed data can be migrated to slower, cost-effective storage tiers, such as hard disk drives (HDDs). This tiering mechanism optimizes performance and reduces costs

Dynamic Rebalancing:

VnetStor dynamically redistributes data across the cluster when new nodes are added or existing nodes are removed. This feature ensures that data is evenly distributed and workload is balanced across the storage infrastructure.

Object Versioning and Snapshots:

VnetStor supports object versioning, which allows users to preserve and access previous versions of objects stored in the system. Additionally, VnetStor enables the creation of snapshots, which are point-in-time copies of data.

RADOS Gateway:

VnetStor includes RADOS Gateway, which provides an Amazon S3-compatible interface for object storage. It allows seamless integration with S3-compatible applications and tools, making it easier to adopt VnetStor as a storage solution in existing cloud environments or hybrid cloud setups.

NFS, CIFS, HDFS support

VnetStor supports NFS, CIFS, and HDFS. NFS provides file-level access, CIFS enables Windows file sharing, and HDFS is a distributed file system for big data processing.
